The BERNINA gathering foot was developed to evenly gather fine fabric layers and create decorative ruffles. The fabric to be gathered is guided under the gathering guide, while the flat fabric piece lies on the guide. In combination with the differential feed, the fabric is evenly gathered and simultaneously sewn to a flat fabric piece and neatly finished.

The foot is also suitable for gathering fabric strips on both sides, thus enabling diverse design options for clothing, home textiles, and accessories. With the gathering foot, even ruffles and clean results are achieved for decorative and functional sewing projects.
