The Shell Hemmer and Tricot Foot #68 is the special foot for decorative, elastic hems on fine to medium-weight jerseys and elastic fabrics. It automatically shapes the fabric into a narrow, double-folded hem of 2 mm width, which is secured with a zigzag stitch.

The special feature: The fabric stretches slightly during sewing, creating the characteristic shell-shaped rolled hem effect – ideal for T-shirts, lingerie, children's clothing, or fine knit fabrics. The integrated scroll precisely guides the fabric, while the shape of the foot ensures even feeding.

This allows for decorative, elastic hems with a clean, professional finish, without the fabric stretching out or becoming wavy.
