The Shell and Tricot Hemmer #69 is the special foot for elastic and decorative hems on fine to medium knit fabrics and jerseys. It automatically folds the fabric twice and sews it together with a zigzag stitch to create a 4 mm wide, elastic hem.

The slightly stretched fabric guide creates the characteristic shell effect, which is particularly effective on stretchy materials. This allows you to sew elegant, wavy finishes on sleeves, hems, or necklines – ideal for shirts, sportswear, lingerie, or children's clothing.
