Bernina Sideways Motion Foot #40C

The Sideways Motion Foot #40C was specially developed for sewing with sideways motion and allows sewing in all directions – ideal for large-scale embroideries, decorative stitches, and creative sewing techniques. Its special shape and large opening make it perfectly suited for machines with a 9 mm stitch width.

Thanks to its wide sole, the foot glides smoothly over the fabric and ensures precise stitches – both when sewing forwards and sideways. The recess on the underside prevents dense embroidery patterns from accumulating, which is particularly advantageous for decorative and complex seams.

The Sideways Motion Foot #40C is ideal for sewing ornaments, lettering, quilt patterns, and large decorative stitches. It offers full control and a clean stitch pattern in every direction of movement.
