The BERNINA embroidery module L with Smart Drive Technology expands the creative possibilities of the 7 and 8 Series and ensures optimal embroidery results. Smart Drive Technology enables significantly quieter, smoother, and lower-vibration movement of the embroidery arm, leading to improved stitch quality. Depending on the embroidery design and the hoop used, embroidery time can be noticeably reduced compared to an embroidery module without SDT.
An embroidery module with SDT can be identified by the corresponding SDT lettering next to the BERNINA logo. The optimized mechanics improve fabric transport during embroidery, reduce looping, and ensure a consistently clean stitch pattern – even with longer or more detailed designs.
The embroidery module L is suitable for both expanding pure sewing machines and supplementing existing embroidery functions. It comes with a matching embroidery foot and three different embroidery hoops. All hoops also allow for free-arm embroidery, ideal for sleeves, pockets, trouser legs, and other closed textiles.
The maximum embroidery area of 41 × 28 cm is fully available for machines in the 8 Series, offering plenty of space for large designs, home textiles, and elaborate embroideries.
